Here we are driving past Gurney towards Batu Ferringhi. This route passes by many luxurious condos and bungalows.
We drove past Batu Ferringhi and arrived at Teluk Bahang beach, which is directly opposite the Tropical Spice Garden. The beach here is more quiet.
Here I am at the top of a rock.
The waves clapping against the beach.
We drove back towards the main Batu Ferringhi beach. The windows were wind down while we enjoy the sea breeze as we drove along.
Along the way, we came upon many mini-bikers.
Finally, we arrived at the section of the beach directly behind Hard Rock Hotel.
A view that borders the mountains.
White sandy beaches.
There are many water-side activities that we can do, like 1) riding on the sea.
2) Lazing in a hut.
3) Riding on the horse along the beach.
4) Flying around on a parachute.
Beautiful sea waves against the sands.
Blue sky with white fluffy clouds.
A great place for some sun-tan.
The Park Royal hotel.
Here is further up at Miami Beach.
Waves crashing against the rocks.
Our lunch session at Padang Brown, highly recommended by a friend.
Some blog mention about the Yong Tau Hu here.
We went for it, this cost RM7.40.
This is our attempt number 2 for Penang's famous Char Kuay Teow. It is opened!
The lady preparing non-stop.
We ordered the large RM8.50 plate and it comes with many prawns. yummy! It taste really fabulous!

Penang 7 [29-30/08] Cuisine and Merdeka
29th August (Saturday) 2009
We dropped by Ghee Hiang on this day where a friend ordered 10 packs of large Tau Sa Pia. It has to be pre-ordered and will only be ready on the Tuesday.
We went in search of the famous Char Kuay Teow which unfortunately was closed at 5pm. As such, we just went to the stalls along Macalister Street and ordered many dishes. Firstly we have Satay with Char Kuay Teow.
Then we have Tofu Crab, Lala and Fried Oyster with egg.
We decide to check out the camera fair at Gurney. But it was disappointing, so we just go around shopping.
While trying some clothes, we were amazed by the size of the fitting rooms. There are chair and table to rest.
30th August (Sunday) 2009
A beautiful evening sky at 7.30pm as we left our hotel for dinner.
A mirror view from our car of the setting sun.
The famous Shu Jiao (树脚) restaurant just opposite the Jetty. Check out the wide selection of vegetables. It's my second time here actually. I love this place.
And also a wide variety of seafood to choose from.
The best part about this place is that the dishes are served in 10minutes or less. Here are the 7 dishes we have ordered for 6 people. It cost around 170plus ringgit; which on average is S$12 per person.
Thereafter we proceed to Queensbay Mall to check out the Merdeka Party. We like to hang around the coffee bean.
And ordered the ice-blended matcha green tea.
Some young ladies performing on stage.
And some singing competition going on.
It is around 10.20pm and we decide to go back to our hotel first. While visiting a friend's room, I was amazed to see the drawer of secrets. Lotsa goodie stuffs in there.
At 11.55pm, the fireworks at Queensbay begin. This photo is taken from our rooms.
At the other side of our view, facing towards the mountain, the residential area also have fireworks being set off.
